YOU DID THIS IN 2018!

When you give to Mountain View Church you may not realize that your gifts reach far beyond our church. In addition to all the missions and ministry we are directly involved in, we give away 10% of our regular income to bless causes outside our own.  Leadership means you go first, so not only do our leaders give the first fruits of their personal income to the church, but as a church we give our first 10% away. It’s an act of faith, because it always seems like we could use the money. But when we are faithful and generous, God continues to bless us.

$40,190 invested in our home town

This year we have been able to give our first fruits offerings to support some initiatives right here in our hometown. We supported Unidos in their work with under-resourced youth, we helped fund a new Spanish language church plant, and we were the largest initial donor to the Skate Park Coalition in the City of San Juan Capistrano. Our giving also provided camp scholarships for kids, subsidized counseling through Trinity counseling ministries and provided relief to families in need through our G-fund.

 $33,236 in partnership with our denomination

Our Church invested in our partnership with our denomination through the Evangelical Covenant Church and the Pacific Southwest Conference to start and strengthen churches, develop leaders, make and deepen disciples, serve globally in relief work and missions and love mercy and do justice at home. Our giving also provided fire relief for families affected in California.

$96,433 sown around the world

We invested in translating Bible Project Videos into other languages, built playgrounds in refugee camps in Jordan and Uganda, taught refuge kids in Mexico to skate, and continued sponsoring a community center near the Syrian border in Jordan. Through our partnerships with Faithquest Missions and Kids around the world we also fed over 110,000 kids and bought a van for pastor Moses.

We Gave Away $169,859 this year!

In total, our charitable giving outside of our church budget totaled $169,859 for 2018. All this is while we were able to meet our regular budget and raise 2.6 million in pledges and cash to build out the ranch. That is incredible!  God is good and you are his generous family.
