GENEROSITY GOES BOTH WAYS

Generosity is not just about giving to those in need.  Empowering people to provide for themselves gives them dignity and self worth along with needed help.  The ACCTS Community Center in Husn, Jordan empowers refugee women to provide for themselves and their families.  Their focus is not on doing things for people, but on teaching them new skills.

One of the skills women learn at the center is soap making.   The soaps they make are the kind of quality product you would be happy to give as a gift or put out for guests.  Each purchase helps these women provide for their families.  Since we already purchased the soaps, we will donate all the profits back into the ministry so we can continue to sponsor the work of the community center.  Everybody wins!

Generosity that Restores

The goal of our generosity is not just giving handouts.  We partner with ministries that are working on sustainable solutions to real problems.  ACCTS Community Center in Jordan is one of those great ministry partners.  Through your generosity, we have been able to pay the rent for the community center, buy sewing machines and tool kids for women graduating from the sewing and plumbing programs, build two playgrounds for children, and hire key employees.  Your generosity is bearing fruit in the Middle East!

Nabeeh and Ruba are Coming

Nabeeh and Ruba Abbassi lead the ACCTS ministry that includes the community center and the Arab Women Today television program.  They will be with us this week sharing about their ministry.  Sunday, they will speak at both services and then we will have a lunch after church where you can get to know them better.  Join us if you are available!
